Various pictures for this month
August work slowed. Painting was the focus. Specifically, painting the upper cathedral ceilings that required scaffolding was the focus. The picture on the right shows the inner core with the sconce lights installed.
However, I did take a weekend off and go visit my sister who lives on the Indianapolis 500 race track grounds. I happened to visit the weekend of the Brickyard 400 race. Since I have never attended a race like that, I went.
It was great! It was hot. I got sunburned, but I also had a wonderful time.
Visiting with my sister and her family was well worth the trip.
View from the kitchen to the living/office/library/dinning space.
The next weekend, I was back sanding, priming and painting the upper walls and ceiling in the studio.
We had a friend visit from Maryland and she helped prime most of the studio walls.
By mid August I had completed the upper 24 walls. Here is a night time view of the upper 24 when I finished it and installed the sconce lights.
My next mission was to get the upper ceilings painted and get that scaffolding out of the studio.
Late August I went to set digital camera on top of the new studio potter shelves (you can see one in the picture above). I was careless and it fell to the floor. It died. It was a good camera and served me well. I continued to work on the house without pictures, sanding, priming, painting and shaking for being up on the scaffolding.
